![]() The basic data for the construction of the model are provided by the architect, mechanic, fire protection designer and fire protection authority. The resulting floor plans, layout schemes, branch plans, etc. based on this, the room is built as a proportional model. The information provided by the designers may include: blueprints of the building, properties of the materials, materials of the walls, plans for the design of heat and smoke extraction, and the characteristics and location of the extinguishing system in the room. Once we have run the test and received the output files, we can view them with Smokeview developed by NIST. This makes it clear what processes would take place in the model we designed. The program divides the space into cells and then simulates the changes in space following the assumed fire burning. ![]() The FDS program was developed in the United States and spread from there around the world. It greatly contributes to the modernization and development of fire protection. With the help of a computer model we can simulate the given room, the conditions in them and the materials present there. We can analyze and observe several factors at once. The program itself facilitates the completion of existing engineering methods and can show a new path to the complex design of more efficient fire protection systems. The PATHFINDER program models the escape from a building and how long it takes to leave a building. The program itself is able to count on congestion and is able to take into account that a given room has several exits. We use two types of software for the simulation. ![]()
